This paper focuses on the use of color in Sun Long’s freehand brushwork boneless flower and bird paintings.First of all,through the analysis of ancient books and literature,image interpretation,tracing the origin of Chinese flower-and-bird painting colors,through the sorting of the development of Chinese boneless flower-and-bird painting colors,explore the color concept of Chinese flower-and-bird painting color rules,study the colorful world of flower-and-bird painting artistic conception.Second to Sun Long classic painting as an example,from the color coordination,color contrast and color match equilibrium relationship,the intermixing of color and ink,water is dizzy,white foil color forms,to clarify the characteristics of color,and no bone by Sun Long freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese flower-and-bird paintings unique a pen,water color,the color combination and artistic handling,such as artistic effect of parsing,always Sun Long’s boneless flower-and-bird painting has its important status and value in the development history of Chinese flower-and-bird painting.Finally,the comparison between sun Long’s freehand brushwork boneless flower-and-bird painting and the flower-and-bird painters of Ming and Qing Dynasties in the use of color,in-depth analysis of the differences between them,find out different contemporary artists in the use of color,expression techniques,image expression of the similarities and differences,so as to deepen the understanding of traditional Chinese painting color.
