The Exploration Of Materials And Craftwork About The Decorative Pressed Paper In The Song Dynasty

The decorative pressed paper is both the material carrier of calligraphy and painting and the media of art and culture.Its first appearance can be traced back to the Five Dynasties.After that its inheritance and development continued along with the evolution of papermaking technology and the development of the times.The decorative pressed paper is a paper processing technology.In the Song Dynasty,the decorative pressed paper was loved by Su Shi,Mi Fu and Huang Tingjian.Many calligraphic masterpieces were left such as Poem on the Hall of Pines and Wind,letter‘Pingshi’,letter ‘Jiuliu’.A poem says,‘It is only Ou Yangxun and Yu Shinan who dare to use it as strips.’It shows that people paid more attention to the decorative pressed paper at that time.The decorative pressed paper of Song Dynasty which absorbed the achievements of the papermaking technology and plate-printing technology before the Song Dynasty combined with the aesthetic culture of the times.It occupies an important place in the development history of traditional calligraphy and painting paper in a unique technique and appearance style of light with appropriate colors.This article summarizes and analyzes the evolution process of the appearance style of the decorative pressed paper in chronological order,firstly.Then,the decorative pressed paper of Song dynasty is taken as the main research object and its materials and techniques for making paper is made inferences.Finally,the technological inference is fully verified experimentally.The author tries to awaken the contemporary significance of the decorative pressed paper by exploring the suitable mounting method and preserving format and combining the change of contemporary writing culture.
