As a positive trait of human beings ,gratitude became important part in the field of positive psychology. Psychologists had done broad research about gratitude, but gratitude research is still in the first step. Especially, it is short of demonstration research. This study choose 1000 students from several Middle Schools in NangChang and FuZhou. It is to investigate the current situation about gratitude and relation about gratitude, coping style and mental health of Middle School Students by means of interviews and questionnaire. The purpose of this survey is to rich and make further study of gratitude, provide clues and datas to the study about gratitude of Middle School Students.The results showed that:Most Middle School Students have higher gratitude.The students in different gender have different gratitude. It is that gratitude of girls is higher than that of boys.The students in different area have different gratitude. The students from city have higher gratitude than those from country.The gratitude of The Only Child is significant higher than that of child with siblings.The gratitude of students in Grade Eight is significant higher than students'in Grade Nine.Domestic economic status have an effect on gratitude of Middle School Students .The high domestic economic status'gratitude is higher than the low domestic economic status.There was significant positive correlation between gratitude and solving problem, avoiding, enduring.There was significant negtive correlation between solving problem, avoiding, seeking help and the total mental health.Gratitude affects mental health by two ways: Gratitude can affect mental health directly; Gratitude has an effect on mental health by solving problem and seeking help coping styles.
