The symbolic system conveys meaning through actively created symbolic expressions,which is the essence of Jung’s editorial design of The Red Book.This paper takes Jung’s "Red Book" as the research object.First,it summarizes the profound ideology and social influence;secondly,it explores the basic framework and path logic of the symbol system;Red Book’s inspiration and reflection on contemporary book design.The first chapter summarizes the basic content and background of the "Red Book",and establishes the basic research method from the perspective of book editing design and semiotics.The second chapter,based on the existing research on Jung’s psychology,summarizes the thoughts of "The Red Book" with the key words of Jung’s thought combined with social phenomena.The third chapter,on the basis of ideological summary,from the perspective of semiotics,establishes the basic system framework and logical path of the study of "Red Book".The fourth chapter analyzes and summarizes the book design of "Red Book" from a more specific visual level and book design perspective,and expounds the book editing design awareness of "Red Book".
