The War of Resistance to the United States and Aid to Korea was a modern war with huge scale and great contrast between the forces of the enemy and ours. The United Nations army led by the United States has advanced weapons and equipment, huge firepower superiority and complete logistical supply, and carries out strict air strikes against the Chinese Volunteers. When the volunteers went abroad to fight, the situation and conditions they faced were very different from those in previous civil wars.Strange Korean battlefield, difficult battlefield environment, powerful firepower offensive,a large number of casualties quickly produced, continuous damage to transportation supply lines, material supplies were difficult to obtain from the enemy and from the local area……Many difficulties had caused great challenges to the treatment of the wounded and sick in the Volunteer Army, and the combat effectiveness of the troops had been seriously threatened. The treatment of the wounded and sick in the Volunteer Army had a large span of time and a wide range of coverage. There was a distinction between large time periods between the mobile warfare phase and the positional warfare phase,as well as the distinction between different battles in each time period. Both the North Korean battlefield and the domestic rear end of their respective rescue work,as well as the connection and coordination of the work between the two. There were medical treatments for different types of injuries and illnesses,as well as the evacuation of the wounded and the sick, the supplementation of medical personnel, the supply of materials and medicinal materials, the construction and deployment of medical institutions at all levels, and the domestic rear support for the front treatment work. The writing of this paper is mainly carried out along the time clue, with the battle stage and anti-bacterial warfare as the key nodes. The work of treating the wounded and sick of volunteers can be roughly divided into three stages:the stage of mobile warfare, the stage of positional warfare before the anti-bacterial warfare, and the stage after the anti-bacterial warfare until the armistice. In order to clarify the development situation and development process of medical treatment during the whole war,it is of great significance to the victory of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and military health work.In the early stage of the movement and warfare in Korea, the Volunteer Army was advancing rapidly, the supply of materials was extremely difficult, the battlefield hospitals were not yet complete, and the medical force and treatment experience were severely lacking. As a result,it was difficult for the wounded and sick to be treated on the spot, and they all needed to be sent back to the country for treatment. There were many shortcomings in the treatment work. After entering the stage of positional warfare, the front line had stabilized, and all aspects of medical and health work had gradually improved, and the treatment of the wounded and the sick had developed amidst difficulties. The domestic rear provided manpower and material support, medical personnel save lives and overcome difficulties. The medical and health work summed up experience and continuously improved saving the lives of the volunteers. In the past three years, the CCP had treated 383,218 volunteers who were wounded and 455,199 patients.More than half of the people who returned to the army were cured and made important contributions to the maintenance of the army’s vitality. In this process, the achievements in the training of health personnel, the popularization of health education, the improvement of medical technology, and provide a reference for the regularization and modernization of the army’s health work after the war.
