As the main force in spreading Chinese culture,international Chinese teacher volunteers play a huge role in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in the new era.The National Standards for Chinese Language Teachers(2012)pointed out that international Chinese language teachers should possess five abilities,namely,basic Chinese teaching,Chinese teaching methods,teaching organization and classroom management,Chinese culture and cross-cultural communication,and professional ethics and professional development.In the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,effective and appropriate communicative behavior requires that Chinese teacher volunteers must have the ability of intercultural communication and the teaching ability of intercultural communication.Based on the content of cross-cultural theory,this paper uses questionnaire survey,interview method,and document analysis method to investigate and analyze the cross-cultural communicative competence of Chinese teacher volunteers to Mongolia in 2019,find out problems and make suggestions.Through the analysis of the questionnaire and interview results,it can be found that the main problems existing in the intercultural communication of Chinese teachers in Mongolia are as follows,improper understanding of vocabulary meaning and pragmatic rules;body language in nonverbal communication,the differences between the space utilization and the festival culture of intercultural communication conflict;the lack of mastery of the characteristics of Chinese and Mongolian languages in the teaching process,the single teaching method and the misunderstanding of students’ learning;gap in geographical environment and humane environment impact on Chinese teachers volunteer’ cross-cultural communication ability;Based on the existing problems,the author uses his own practice and theoretical knowledge to make suggestions on how to improve the intercultural communication skills of volunteer Chinese teachers in Mongolia.First,Integrate,let language serve culture;and,intentionally correct behavior,learn to express appropriately;then,consolidate the foundation of Chinese,improve teaching ability;at last,respect cultural differences,learn to find balance.Cross-cultural communicative competence is one of the basic qualities required of volunteer Chinese teachers.If we want to promote and develop Chinese culture in Mongolia,we must start from theory and practice to improve the intercultural communication skills of Chinese teachers,continuously strengthen the understanding of Chinese and Mongolian language structure of volunteer Chinese teachers,and further deepen cultural cognition.He is good at observing and learning the characteristics of different cultures in life and work,and effectively combines the characteristics of Chinese and Mongolian education. |
