| Under the influence of "Belt and Road" policy,the relationship between China and Nepal is becoming closer and closer.In August 2005,the National Han Office sent 21 Chinese teacher volunteers to Nepal.For 14 years now,the number of Chinese teacher volunteers in Nepal has accumulated more than 800.The rising demand for Chinese teacher volunteers in Nepal reflects the enthusiasm of Nepalese people to learn Chinese.However,the particularity of Nepal’s living environment,the particularity of Nepal’s teaching schools and the differences of social environment between Nepal and China lead to the common identity problems of Nepalese Chinese teacher volunteers.It is very important to study the problems existing in the identity of Nepalese Chinese teacher volunteers and how to help Nepalese Chinese teacher volunteers to improve their identity and then better carry out Chinese teaching.Through the questionnaire and the in-depth interview way has carried on the investigation and analysis to the 106 Chinese teacher volunteers from 2019 to 2020 personal basic situation,the self-identity,the professional identity,the occupational identity and the situational identity situation and so on,and then discovered the Nepalese Chinese teacher identity existence following problems: The self-identity one-sidedness,separated the volunteer and the Chinese teacher relations;the self-identity sense of meaning is missing;the professional ability question,thinks own Chinese professional ability is not enough,the professional emotion lacks the sense of achievement;the utilitarian of professional motivation and the lack of sense of professional value,the low identity of social status in Nepal and the lack of sense of belonging.It is found that the causes of the problems are two aspects: First,the lack of teaching ability and experience in teaching Chinese,the deviation of professional outlook and the misunderstanding of volunteer spirit;second,the poor teaching environment and lack of humanistic care,the poor living environment and language communication difficulties in Nepal and the difference of social environment between China and Nepal.Accordingly,the following three aspects are countermeasures: First,volunteers should improve themselves;second,the teaching schools should provide support for volunteers;third,the National Han Office should strengthen the training of volunteers.Hope help Nepalese Chinese teacher volunteers to improve identity and better carry out Chinese teaching. |
