Since the 1980s,the introduction of western ecological literature theories has promoted the creation and research of ecological literature in China, and in recent years, with the continuous advancement of Chinese ecological civilization construction and the continuous deepening of ecological research paradigms in the field of social sciences, ecological criticism concepts, such as land ethics, life consciousness of the nature, have gradually become aware for the public. Therefore, the author of the report intends to enhance its international influence through this translation of Chinese contemporary ecological prose. The report is based on the translator’s translation practice. The translated text is selected from The Son of God edited by Yuan Yi,which are prose of Chinese ecological writer Wei An.Through describing objects and narrating things, the selected essays objectively present the conquer of human beings to nature and the consequent ecological crisis.Vivid descriptions of the natural surroundings in the original text entail many natural ecological terms and strong sense of life, and the cultural-loaded words, cultural images and cultural ideas reveal strong regional consciousness. At the same time,it also reflects the land ethics and ecological aesthetic consciousness of Chinese writer. Thus,it is proper for this report to translate ecological prose translation from the perspective of Eco-translatology,which means to transplant the ecological connotations in the source text into the target text. The report firstly introduces the translation task and the whole translation process;secondly illustrates the three notions of Eco-translatology and the connotation of textual transplantability,at the same time demonstrates the close-link between the textual transplantation and the translator’s adaption and selection;thirdly, with the help of case studies,it elaborates the translator’s adaptation and selection in the three dimensions of language, culture and communication to ensure the implementation of textual transplantation;finally, the author draws the following conclusion:ecological prose emphasizes ecological holism, which coincides with Eco-translatology highlighting the aesthetics of harmony and integrity,is of highly transplanting value. At the same time ecological prose works attach great importance to the state of "self-presentation",so the translators need to choose translation strategies to avoid over-translation on the one hand, but on the other hand highlight his or her ecological thinking. It is hoped that this report can provide some reference value for the translation of ecological texts.
