| This report is based on the translation of chapter 8 of the pedagogical monograph Education for All in the Times of Crisis Lessons from COVID-19.The book introduces the problems faced by teachers in the process of online teaching and distance teaching during the COVID-19 period,and summarizes the solutions which put forward constructive suggestions for maintaining teaching continuity in the future.The author makes a review of international and domestic literature and draws up a reasonable plan.In the Case Study,the translation strategies about titles’ translation and punctuation marks’ translation are summarized by the author.About the translation of titles,three strategies were analyzed,meaning amplification,omission and conversion.About the punctuation marks’ translation,the author compares the usage of the dash marks,colon marks and parentheses in both Chinese and English,and summarizes the translation methods of the three punctuation marks,namely,transformation,deletion and retention.This translation practice is meant to accumulate materials and experience,and shed some lights on the later translation practice on pedagogical texts. |
