Research On The Language Landscape Of Urban Rail Transit In The Three Northeastern Province

In recent years,language landscape has become a research hotspot in the field of sociolinguistics,which has been paid more attention by scholars.Research on various aspects of language landscape is also in the ascendant.This paper takes the language landscape of urban rail transit in the three provinces of Northeast China as the research object,investigates the language usage of urban rail transit in the three provinces of Northeast China as a whole and each city,analyzes the geographical semiotic features of language landscape and the image of urban characteristic language landscape,points out the deficiencies of the current urban rail transit language landscape in the three provinces of Northeast China according to the survey results,and puts forward corresponding improvement strategies.This paper uses literature research method,field investigation method and comparative research method to study the collected 3148 cases of language signs,hoping to provide a references for the construction of harmonious language ecology,formulation of corresponding language policies and urban language planning of the three provinces of Northeast China through this study.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part describes the general situation of the language landscape of urban rail transit in the three provinces of Northeast China,and analyzes the overall appearance of the typical language landscape from three perspectives: the type of code,the combination of code and the content type of signs.In the aspect of atypical language landscape,classification and descriptive analysis are conducted on subway ticket cards,publicity brochures,electronic screens,television,and voice broadcasts from the form of language carrying.The second part describes the status quo of urban rail transit language landscape in the three northeastern provinces respectively,and describes and analyzes the specific code usage,geographical semiotic language landscape features and urban characteristic language landscape images of Harbin,Changchun,Shenyang and Dalian.The third part analyzes the characteristics and functions of urban rail transit language landscape in the three provinces of Northeast China.Based on the language landscape theory,this paper explores the multimodal and comprehensive features of the language landscape of urban rail transit in the three provinces of Northeast China.Based on these two characteristics and performance,it is found that the language landscape of rail transit mainly plays four functions,namely,information function,cultural function,aesthetic function and urban construction function.The fourth part points out the three major problems in the language landscape of urban rail transit in the three provinces of northeast China,that is,the confusion of romanized transcription of subway station names,the anomic use of language,and the unequal information of signs.In view of the shortcomings,relevant improvement strategies are put forward to provide reference for constructing harmonious language ecology of rail transit.
