With the continuous development of mobile communication technology and the actual needs of real work,employees deal with work tasks or get in touch with colleagues through mobile communication devices during non-working hours,that is,work connectivity during non-working hours has become a common phenomenon in employees’ daily work.In this study,work passion variables,work involvement variables,and organizational support variables were introduced to explore the influence of work passion on non-work time work connectivity behavior,and to verify the mediating role of work involvement and the moderating role of organizational support.By convenient sampling method,367 on-the-job employees from Henan,Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Hebei were surveyed by using work passion scale,job involvement scale,sense of organizational support scale,and work connected behavior scale during non-work hours.This paper studies the status quo of work passion,work involvement,sense of organizational support,and non-work connectivity behavior and their relationships,and finally draws the following conclusions:1.Work passion,job involvement,sense of organizational support,and non-work connectivity behavior are all above the medium level,and have significant differences with demographic variables2.Work passion positively predicts non-working time work connected behavior and is mediated by work involvement,which also explains the positive effect of work passion on non-working time work connected behavior.3.The relationship between work passion and job involvement is moderated by perceived organizational support,that is,the higher the level of perceived organizational support,the more significant the positive predictive effect of work passion on job involvement.In summary,this study enriches the research on antecedent variables of work connectivity behavior during non-working hours through empirical analysis,and explores the relationship between work passion and work connectivity behavior during non-working hours.At the same time,according to the results of the research,the organization should pay attention to the cultivation of employees’ work passion,create a supportive atmosphere and other suggestions. |
