The report is based on the third and fourth chapters of the book,Enhancing Learning through Formative Assessment and Feedback,to complete the translation practice. The translator starts from words, definite clauses and the coherence of the discourse. In order to determine the exact meaning of the words in the context, the translator uses the method of splitting and changing order to interpret the translation of attributive clauses, and adopts explicit and illuminated translation to clarify the coherence and logical relationship of the discourse,so as to make the translation of the words coherent, the sentence meaning closely connected, and the chapter logical.Through the translation practice report, the translator can,on the one hand, introduce more theories related to formative assessment and feedback, and provide more innovative theoretical guidance for assessment methods in higher education. On the other hand, the report can also provide reference on translation methods and translation techniques for similar translation practices in the future.
