| With the development of psychology and psychiatry and increasing attention to mental health disorders,autism spectrum disorder(ASD)is gradually known to the public.The GTCO Annual Autism Conference is now in its 12 th years against this backdrop,with speakers giving keynote presentations under the theme “autism”.The corpus selected for this Chinese-English consecutive interpretation practice is the presentations of the four speakers on the first morning of this conference.After the practice,the writer analyzes problems from the multimodal perspective including linguistic,para-linguistic and extra-linguistic ones,and finds three major problems: shift of the discourse genre,listening difficulties and effort distribution of Ppt visual aids.The report puts forward corresponding solutions such as foreignization,domestication,contextual association,keyword capture,the core content of the source language consolidation,Ppt selection and reading.And it finally summarizes the experience and weakness of this interpretation practice.It is hoped to improve the quality of future interpreting practice and provide reference for interpreters who are committed to the consecutive interpretation of keynote speeches. |
