| Li Huaxuan was an early 20th-century Chinese musician.He has made outstanding contributions to music education,Chinese traditional music research,composition practice and basic theory of composition.Li Huaxuan kept writing all his life.In order to promote the construction of music education in Chinese schools,he pointed out the problems that existed in school music teaching at that time in his music literary.In 1925,the Ministry of Education of the Beijing government issued him the “Wen Xingzhang” to affirm his achievements in music education.As a music teacher,Li Huaxuan has been teaching for more than 50 years and is concerned about the development of music education in primary and secondary schools.As a disciple of Wang Lu,the grandmaster of Guqin studies,he adhered to the teacher’s aspiration and devoted himself to completing the research work of the Great Chengle of the Temple of Confucius.As a pioneer of modern and modern Chinese music,in terms of music creation,he combines Chinese folk tunes with traditional European harmonic arrangements;In terms of collecting and organizing traditional music,he used Western stave notation to compile Peking Opera music cards and folk songs;His efforts in music education in modern and modern Chinese schools,popularization of Chinese and Western music culture,and the research on basic theory of composition are indelible.This article was published by Li Huaxuan in the 20-40 s of the 20 th century Based on the music essays and music scores in the "Music Magazine" of the Peking University Music Research Association,the "Music Quarterly" of the Shanghai Chinese Concert,and the "Jinde Monthly" of the Shandong Jinde Association,combined with relevant first-hand historical materials,Li Huaxuan’s academic achievements from the student stage to the teaching career are summarized.Under the premise of conforming to the law of social development and the background of the times,the topic "Li Huaxuan,the pioneer of modern and modern Chinese music" is discussed from multiple angles. |
