The report, based on the Chinese translation examples of the first eleven and the twentyfifth chapter of children’s literature When You Trap a Tiger, analyzes the stylistic features of children’s literature from the phonological, lexical, syntactic and register levels within the framework of stylistic markers theory, aiming to explore the effective translation methods to reproduce the style of the original text to the maximum extent in the Chinese translation of children’s literature. It is found that at the level of phonological markers, according to the aesthetic judgment of children readers, corresponding and recasting are employed by the use of onomatopoeia, reduplication and four-character structure in translation to reproduce the phonological charm of children’s literature;at the level of lexical markers, according to children’s language and thinking ability, recasting and corresponding are adopted through modal particles,r-pronounced words and colloquial expressions in translation so as to reproduce the vividness and fun of children’s literature and meet the reading demands of children readers;at the level of syntactic markers, according to the cognitive level of children readers, corresponding is employed when dealing with the special sentence patterns such as parallelism and sentence fragments to reproduce the style of the original text;at the level of register markers, corresponding is adopted to reproduce the informal and formal stylistic features according to the specific context, field and tenor..Stylistic markers theory, based on the translation practice,is found to have theoretical guiding significance for the translation of children’s literature and be conducive for translators to grasp the style of the original text, and to further employ various translation methods to maximize the reproduction of the original style.
