Research On The Influence Of Digital Technology Application On The High-quality Development Of Cultural Industry

Chinese economy has entered the stage of high-quality development.As an important part of the economy,cultural industry need to adjust the direction of development from pursuing economic growth to improving the quality of development.In 2018,at a meeting on publicity and theoretical work,General Secretary Xi proposed to promote high-quality development of the cultural industry to enhance people’s sense of cultural acquisition and happiness through high-quality cultural supply.As an important factor of production,digital technology can improve the quality and efficiency of industrial development.The 14 th Five-year Plan for The Development of Digital Economy issued by State Council in 2022 says that the digital technology plays an important role in economic growth,it proposes to promote the integration and innovation of digital technology in various fields.I attempt to research the influence of digital technology application on the high-quality development of cultural industry to provide theoretical and practical basis for improving the development quality of cultural industry.In this study,I take 29 provinces and cities in China as research objects and use sample data from 2013 to 2019 for empirical analysis.I construct an index system and measure the index of digital technology application and high-quality development of cultural industry by using the global principal component analysis method,then analyzes the spatial and temporal characteristics of this two index.Then,I build the benchmark regression model and test the influence of digital technology application on development of cultural industry from overall and regional level.Furthermore,VAR model is used to empirically analyze the dynamic relationship between the high-quality development of cultural industry and the application of digital technology.Some conclusions in this study are as follows:(1)Under the influence of digital technology application,the level of high-quality development of cultural industry is on the rise.(2)The application of digital technology can significantly promote the high-quality development of cultural industry.(3)The application of digital technology has obvious regional heterogeneity on the high-quality development of cultural industry,and the positive promotion effect of the eastern region is much higher than that of other regions.(4)There is a lag in the positive impact of digital technology application on the high-quality development of cultural industry.To make the digital technology application play the positive role fully,I put forward the following suggestions:(1)Optimize and upgrade digital infrastructure such as 5G,big data and digital computing power to provide strong technical support for industrial development.(2)Improve the quality of data elements to fully release the data dividend.(3)Strengthen the protection of digital cultural property rights to arouse enthusiasm of innovation.(4)Improve the level of integration between digital technology and cultural industry to promote the digital transformation of cultural industry.
