The Research On The Speech Act Of Gratitude In "Boya Chinese" Series Of Textbooks

At present,the number of articles devoted to the study of speech acts of gratitude in international Chinese textbooks is relatively small,and no relevant research has been conducted on the series of textbooks.Based on the theory of speech acts,this paper presents statistics on the four types of thanking speech strategies and six types of thanking speech response strategies that appear in "Boya Chinese" series of textbooks,in terms of their types,frequency,order and discourse context,and conducts a comparative analysis within and between the textbooks.Based on the statistical results,this paper finds that "Boya Chinese" series of textbooks has uneven distribution,single types of occurrence,inappropriate order of occurrence,and insufficient coordination between textbooks in the compilation of thanking speech acts.This suggests that we should pay attention to the following matters in the compilation of gratitude speech acts in international Chinese textbooks in the future: enrich the ways of gratitude speech acts,and balance the types and frequencies of their occurrence;set up appropriate and diverse pragmatic environment types to serve the improvement of gratitude pragmatic ability;According to the degree of difficulty of acquisition and the degree of common use,rationally arrange the order of appearance of gratitude speech acts;strengthen the collaboration between the series of teaching materials,and give full play to the advantages of the series of teaching materials.
