Research On Spatial Narrative Strategy Of Family Documentary

Space is the place where human beings live,where they practice their productive activities,and where they carry their historical changes,social relations and spiritual emotions,and everything that happens is staged in space,and narratives are being made all the time.With the rise of the "spatial turn",spatial narratology has emerged as a new research boom in the field of narratology,and the function and meaning of space as a means of narrative has been continuously explored.For documentary films,the participation of space is indispensable to record the reality and reveal the meaning behind the reality,and family documentaries take family space as the main narrative place to tell family stories and present family memories,relationships and emotions.The core proposition of this study is how to make full use of space in a small and crowded family space,to bring out the narrative function of space,and to highlight the value and significance of family documentaries.Therefore,this paper will analyze the spatial narrative of family documentaries under the guidance of the theory of "spatial narrative",and take the graduation work "Year One" as the main case as the analysis text,through spatial selection,spatial transformation,spatial gaze,spatial extension,spatial metaphor,spatial conflict,spatial accumulation and spatial imagination,etc.Finally,we summarize and reflect on the application of theory and practice,and explore the limitations of spatial narrative research in family documentaries and the In the end,we summarize and reflect on the application of theory and practice,and discuss the limitations of spatial narrative research and the principles of "spatial access" in the creation of spatial narratives in family documentaries.The use of "spatial narrative" provides new theoretical guidance for the creation of family documentaries,enriches the narrative means of documentaries mainly in the temporal dimension,and makes the narrative connotation of family documentaries have a deeper representation through the study of spatial dimension,and the narrative theme constantly presents new value and meaning.
