| Traditional Chinese auspicious motifs are the treasures of the Chinese nation’s 5,000 years of history and profound cultural accumulation,containing the profound cultural heritage and ideological connotations of the Chinese nation.For thousands of years,our ancestors created many auspicious motifs with the desire and pursuit of a better life and true beauty.These motifs have influenced people living on the Chinese land throughout thousands of years of history.The combination of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns with the customs of people’s lives,historical stories and myths and legends has resulted in a unique set of composition rules,such as the harmonic method,the symbolic method,the allegorical method,the tableau method and the textual method,which create a perfect combination of graphic and allegorical patterns.This project will collate and analyse information and data on traditional Chinese auspicious patterns commonly found in life scenarios from an information design perspective.Through reading monographs,understanding the origins and historical development of traditional Chinese auspicious patterns,study and analyse the forms of expression,artistic styles and cultural connotations of traditional patterns,and sort out,filter and integrate the information content under "patterns".The design practice of this project will be divided into six parts: first,patterns used in festivals and holidays;second,patterns with real-life animals as representatives;third,patterns with real-life plants as representatives;fourth,patterns with children and people as the main body and other representatives;fifth,patterns with auspicious objects commonly used in people’s lives as the main body;sixth,patterns with numbers and words as the main body or Auspicious designs with numbers and words in the name. |
