A Study On The Multimodal Metaphor Of Chinese Animation Film "Mythic IP"

In the context of globalization,we need to think deeply about how to view the change and contrast between Eastern and Western cultures,how to view the positioning of our own culture,and how to exert the influence of Chinese culture.As a unique film form,animation film’s imagination and virtuality can not be replaced by any kind of film type,which is the "sword" exported by Chinese cultural values."Myth IP" animated film with natural Chinese cultural attributes,coupled with multi-modal metaphor can combine more abstract concepts with rich audio-visual,text and other forms,so that the expression of more diversified,more vivid image,so that the film narrative content and values organic integration,but also conducive to the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture,continue the Oriental charm.This paper mainly analyzes the visual,auditory and textual modal metaphors in the animated film "Myth IP".Visual metaphor in the animated film "Mythic IP" mainly through visual expression,including the presentation of characters,scenes,shots,colors and traditional Chinese cultural symbols,more clearly represents its hidden profound meaning,which is convenient for further cognition and understanding of abstract concepts.Auditory metaphor mainly includes the content implied by auditory elements such as music and tone lines in the film.Film soundtrack can accentuate the environment,lines can clearly express the views of the characters,and the lines that match the tone hide the inner emotions and profound inner meaning of the characters.As auditory modes,soundtrack and tone lines can highlight and accentuate the innermost thoughts of the characters.The combined effect of visual and auditory metaphors makes the audience have immersive feelings,which makes the animation narration implicate the emotions of the characters and become more intense.Visual and auditory presentation achieves the effect of output of film values through audio-visual representation and metaphor,and film subtitle text concretly displays "implication between the words" on the basis of audio-visual metaphor.The film subtitle text is transformed from simple audio-visual presentation to profound meaning sublimation through metaphor,and the metaphor makes the implied meaning of the work more profound.It can not only reflect the real social problems,let the audience think deeply about the real social problems,but also let the audience explore the "self" and social values in the thinking.The application of multi-modal metaphor in the animated film "Myth IP" makes the animated film get rid of the label of "juvenile",comprehensively improve the depth,persuasion and appeal of the animated film,transmit the theme and values of the film,and maximize the vitality and charm of the excellent traditional Chinese culture,so as to better spread Chinese culture."Mythic IP" animated films are adapted based on mythic stories,deeply rooted in traditional Chinese culture.Its rich audio-visual presentation and values expression in line with the modern context also increase more possibilities for the development of domestic animated films.This paper mainly provides new ideas for the audio-visual presentation and theme construction of domestic animated films from three aspects:cultural inheritance,film narration and animation production,in order to provide references for the innovation and development of domestic animated films in the future.
