Reharmonizing a musical composition is often a way for jazz musicians to express their unique personal style, and these musicians have their own unique understanding of harmony.Jonathan Kerisberg is a jazz guitarist and composer from New York in the 1970 s.As a jazz guitarist influenced by more modern music, his works contain a large number of imaginative harmonic reproductions. This article mainly explores the techniques used in the solo jazz guitar repertoire "My Favorite Things" adapted by Jonathan Kerisberg, such as Quatral Voicings,Up Structure,Pedal,Contrary Motion, and Continuous Structure by him to prove them.By comparing the use of harmony rearrangement techniques by famous jazz guitarists in different periods, this paper presents the characteristics of Jonathan Kerisberg’s use of reharmonization in multiple dimensions. This will provide new ideas and methods for jazz guitar and jazz learners when harmonizing their music.
