With the continuous development of higher education in China and the continuous improvement of teaching standards,there is an increasing attention and research on the life satisfaction of college students.How to improve the life satisfaction of college students has become an important issue that cannot be ignored in various universities.Previous studies have shown that social support is one of the important influencing factors on college students’ life satisfaction.Therefore,this study aims to understand the current situation of college students’ life satisfaction and explore the relationship between social support and life satisfaction.On the basis of previous studies,it introduces two variables,academic self-efficacy and psychological resilience,to explore the mechanism of their role in college students’ social support and life satisfaction.In this study,academic self-efficacy scale,Social Support Rate Scale,Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale and Satisfaction With Life Scale were adopted,three universities in China were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey,806 questionnaires were distributed,and 707 valid questionnaires were finally recovered.SPSS25.0 was used to analyze the differences and correlation among social support,academic self-efficacy,psychological resilience and life satisfaction of college students in demographic variables,and PROCESSv4.1 was used to test the chain mediating effect between academic self-efficacy and psychological resilience.Research results:(1)There are significant differences in life satisfaction among college students in terms of their place of origin,whether they are an only child,and grade;There are significant differences in social support among college students at different grades;There are significant differences in college students’ academic self-efficacy in gender,place of origin,only child status and grade;There are significant differences in the psychological resilience of college students in terms of gender,place of origin and whether they are an only child or not.(2)Social support has a significant positive impact on college students’ life satisfaction.(3)Academic self-efficacy plays a partial mediating role between social support and college students’ life satisfaction.(4)psychological resilience plays a partial intermediary role between social support and college students’ life satisfaction.(5)Academic self-efficacy and psychological resilience play a chain intermediary role between social support and college students’ life satisfaction.
