Formal Design Of “Elegance And Peace:Song Dynasty Material Daily Life Exhibition”

The Song Dynasty ended the warring era of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms and entered a relatively stable phase of society.The stable social environment must have brought economic prosperity and wealth accumulation,coupled with the policy of laying down arms and cultivating literature and the integration of multiple ethnic groups,which gave rise to a unique living scene and aesthetic atmosphere.In recent years,there has been a growing public interest in topics such as "Song Dynasty life" and "Song Dynasty aesthetics".As a cultural service institution,the museum is not only responsible for the protection of cultural relics and cultural heritage,but also an important "window" for the public to understand history and realize the dialogue between the past and the present.The Museum of Archaeology and Art of Jilin University,through the integration of cultural relics in its collection,has selected nearly 100 pieces of Song Dynasty relics to facilitate the exhibition "Elegance and Peace:Song Dynasty Material Daily Life Exhibition".This exhibition is different from the previous exhibitions that tended to focus on the "sage atmosphere",focusing more on the moving "fireworks" of Song dynasty life.In the limited space of the museum,the exhibits are brought to life by means of formal design,and the material life of the Song Dynasty is presented to the audience with "fireworks" through heirloom relics.This paper takes the exhibition text of "Elegance and Peace:Song Dynasty Material Daily Life Exhibition" as the basis to develop the formal design.By analyzing the text content,analyzing and summarizing the theme,communication purpose and text structure of the exhibition,on the premise of grasping the "backbone" of the exhibition text content,the abstract academic theory of the text content and individual exhibits are integrated and processed into intuitive visual images through image and artistic thinking,and the relationship between individual exhibits and formal design elements is established by logical thinking and artistic thinking.The paper is divided into four chapters,which outline the main themes of the exhibition.The paper is divided into four chapters,which are summarized as follows.The first chapter explains the background,purpose and significance of this thesis,analyzes the current situation of domestic and foreign literature,collects domestic exhibitions with similar themes to the exhibition "Elegance and Peace:Song Dynasty Material Daily Life Exhibition" in the past five years,and analyzes and summarizes the similar themes,contents and design of the exhibition.The second chapter will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the theme,content and design of similar exhibitions,which will be used as a reference for the subsequent thesis writing.The second chapter deconstructs and analyzes the text of the exhibition "Elegance and Peace" in terms of its communication purpose,exhibition theme and textual structure.The second chapter deconstructs the text of "Elegance and Peace" in terms of its communication purpose,exhibition theme,and text structure,and evaluates the content of the exhibition text and makes appropriate revisions according to the actual situation.The third Chapter Form design process of "Elegance and Peace" exhibition from conceptual design to deepening design;from preliminary form design concept to specific space design,graphic design,lighting design and exhibition-derived design plan,to visualize the exhibition form design ideas,and finally turn all form design plans into vector data for subsequent construction work.The final form design plan is turned into vector data for the subsequent construction work.The Fourth Chapter summarizes the main contents and views of this paper,and reflects on and summarizes the experience and shortcomings of this practical research.
