A Study On Chinese Translation And Kazakh Of The Basic Metaphor Bearing Words In "Misery And Glory"

Language is the carrier of culture,and both Chinese and Kazakh have their own unique culture,which also determines the differences between them.Metaphor is an indispensable artistic technique in language to enhance the effect of words and sentences,which is closely related to culture.Metaphor contains rich cultural characteristics,and a nation’s choice of metaphor can reflect a nation’s unique cultural tradition,way of thinking and aesthetic concept.The historical background,living environment,customs and habits,religious belief and other factors will inevitably have a certain influence on the choice of metaphor.Therefore,different languages use metaphors differently.In "Misery and Glory",the author uses metaphors to highlight his character,emphasize his nature and express his emotions.Therefore,the metaphor in the translation carries the quality and effect of the word translation,and affects the reading feeling and information acceptance integrity of the target language readers.Based on skopos theory,this paper analyzes the translation principles,strategies,methods and skills of the basic metonymy bearers in "Misery and Glory" with examples,finds out the translation problems in the process of translation,and puts forward optimization strategies and enlightenment.This paper is divided into three parts: preface,text and conclusion.The preface describes the research reasons and significance,research trends and current situation,theoretical basis,research methods and innovations.The main text is divided into five chapters.In the first chapter,we define the bearing of basic metaphor.Based on metaphor and text,the basic metaphor bearer words in "Misery and Glory" can be divided into four types: Metaphor characters,Metaphor object,Metaphor of things and A metaphor for something abstract.This paper summarizes five characteristics of the basic metaphor of "Misery and Glory" : concealment,irony,fun,accuracy and generalization.The second chapter,with support from the theory of translation skopos theory,for example analysis "Misery and Glory" basic metaphors bearing word translation situation,combined with the translation purpose,put forward the holographic namely three full translation principle,whole The whole thing,All the angles,Full information,and in view of the simile,metaphor,metonymy appear these three basic metaphors bearing words,respectively,for example,foreignization and domestication translation strategy analysis;The third chapter,under the framework of The Principle of Three Completeness,analyzes the translation methods of literal translation,free translation and imitation translation as well as the translation skills of addition and conversion.The fourth chapter,through the previous analysis,finds the translation problems of the basic metaphor of "Misery and Glory",summarizes the four kinds of concentration problems: concept,cultural background,understanding,omission;The fifth chapter,aiming at the translation problem of the basic metonymy bearer words,puts forward a clear concept and clarifies the metonymy meaning.Face up to cultural differences;From the shallow to the deep,deepen the understanding and guarantee the integrity of the translated word,multidimensional,truth-value of four optimization countermeasures;Finally,on the basis of the above,three inspirations are drawn: "homogeneity" retention,"nearness" conversion and "heterogenicity" application.The conclusion is a summary based on the above part.
