Chinese textbooks are an important medium for teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The quality of the textbooks directly affects the teaching quality of teachers and the acceptance of students.Vocabulary is the basis of language learning.The number of vocabulary,vocabulary interpretation and vocabulary practice in textbooks all affect the learning effect of students.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct a comparative study on the vocabulary part of Chinese textbooks.Chinese Course and Learn Chinese with Me are two representative sets of primary-level foreign language textbooks,which have always been loved by teachers and students in Thailand.This paper intends to conduct a detailed comparative study on the compilation of the vocabulary parts of Chinese Course and Learn Chinese with Me,and use the methods of survey analysis,comparative analysis and interview to compare the use of Chinese Course and Learn Chinese with Me to conduct surveys and interviews with teachers and students in Thailand,and on the basis of these two aspects,summarize and analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the vocabulary part of the two sets of textbooks.After comparative analysis,the author believes that the textbook Learn Chinese with Me has a moderate vocabulary,rich vocabulary exercises and more interesting questions,which are more suitable for Chinese learners in Thailand at the primary stage.The Chinese Course textbook is highly knowledgeable and difficult,and is more suitable for Thai students with strong learning ability and high Chinese proficiency.The author also puts forward relevant suggestions on the three aspects of vocabulary arrangement,vocabulary definition and vocabulary practice in the two sets of textbooks.It is hoped that through the comparative analysis and research of this paper,some suggestions will be provided for teachers and textbook writers who use the two sets of textbooks in the future,so that The two sets of textbooks better serve the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.
