| Chen Jie was a poet at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, and the "General Bibliography of the Four Libraries" said: "Although his poems originate in Jiangxi, and the style is steep,it is quite involved in the style of Shihu and Jiannan, and it is very different to regard the late Song Dynasty rivers and lakes as a group of people with vegetable shoots, and among the yellow grass and white reeds,it must be called the leader." [(Qing)Yongying: Siku Quanshu Bibliography,Zhonghua Book Company,1965 edition,p.987.] "There are 322 poems in existence, with rich themes and diverse forms, but at present, the academic community does not pay much attention to their poetry, and there is a lack of systematic research. This thesis will explore the life and creation of Chen Jie,the meaning of poetic themes, the characteristics of poetry, and the relationship with Jiangxi poetry and Jiannan and Shihu poetry. In the first chapter, through the "Zitang Manuscript" and other documents, the starting point of Chen Jie’s exchanges with Jiang Wanli,Xie Fangde and others is used to study the situation of Chen Jie’s dealings with them, sort out the general situation of Chen Jie’s life and travels, and introduce the version and preservation of Chen Jie’s existing work "Zitang Manuscript".The second, third, and fourth chapters categorize the content of Chen Jie’s poems: one is the poem of family and country sentiment and the poem of lamentation.By writing about the various events of the death of the country and using a hidden gesture to resist the fact of foreign invasions, the poem of family and country feelings expresses the enthusiasm and loyalty to the Southern Song Dynasty in a tortuous way.Elegy poems express feelings and reflections on different characters and different historical events; One category is the Ji Xing inscription poem.By recording the events of plum exploration, flower appreciation, and drunkenness, the poet’s special life situation is expressed, and the elegant interest of the literati who have traveled far and seen and inscribed flowers and singing things jumps on the paper; One category is the singing of gift poems. In terms of their ideological value, the value of family and country sentiment poems and lamentation poems is higher than that of singing and poetry,so this thesis places the singing and poetry in the fourth chapter, which is the product of the combination of the special era background of the late Southern Song Dynasty and the special encounter of the poet.Chapter 5 analyzes the artistic characteristics of poetry. His poetic aesthetic style is steep, imposing and magnificent. In terms of expression, reasoning and discussion are combined, the rhythm is even, the words are neat, more sustenance is used, and allusions are used to express personal opinions and express their own emotions.Chapter 6 analyzes the relationship between Chen Jie’s poetry and the Jiangxi School of poetry and the poetry of Jiannan and Shihu.Firstly, the influence of the Jiangxi poetry school on Chen Jie’s poetry creation is analyzed, and it is concluded that his poems are influenced by the Jiangxi poetry school in terms of plotting layout, language refining, and poetry theory, and that their poems can break free from the barriers of the Jiangxi poetry school and become known for their "steepness".Secondly, the relationship between his poems and the poetry of Jiannan and Shihu is analyzed.Chen Jie inherited the patriotic spirit of Jiannan poetry, and Shihu made Jin poetry and the spirit of people’s compatriots, and the artistic beauty of the two poetry was higher than that of Chen Jie.On the whole,Chen Jie’s unique style of poetry makes him stand out in the last days, which is a correction of the sour, forced and bitter poetry style of the last days, which revolves around the social background of the Southern Song Dynasty being invaded by foreign races, and combines his own experience to create a large number of excellent works, but the poetry as a whole lacks pride and courageous momentum, focusing on the minutiae,in short, its level is below Jiannan and Shihu, but above the people of the last poets. |
