Research On The Application Of Chinese Folk Songs In Teaching Chinese As A Foreign Language

With the unique national feature,Chinese folk songs is an important part of Chinese culture.It has advantage of acceptance since its simple lyrics and nice melody.In teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,Chinese learners not only can grasp language knowledge,but also understand the culture of all Chinese ethnic groups as well as the pluralistic and dynamic nature of Chinese culture and society.Meanwhile,they can also appreciate the charm of Chinese culture and improve the intercultural communication ability.This article mainly focus on the application of Chinese folk songs in eaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,which is divided into five parts.The first part is introduction which mainly talks about research background,purpose,significance,existing research results,research methods and innovation.The second part focus on the feasibility of Chinese folk songs in eaching Chinese to speakers of other languages including it’s abundant culture resources and language knowledge.The third part is survey questionnaires of learning demands of student abroad for Chinese folk songs.The investigation demonstrates that Chinese culture is an essential factor to attract them to learn English and they eager to learn Chinese culture through Chinese folk songs.The fourth part pays attention to the applying strategies of Chinese folk songs in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages,showing the theoretical basis,teaching method,principles,and significance.The last part is applying research of Chinese folk songs in t teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.According to the preference of students abroad and the principle of selecting songs,I choose the song Molihua to analyse its cultural background and write lesson plan according to it.
