| With the gradual maturity of Chinese language teaching,outward-looking dictionaries for learning Chinese have also developed in the direction of "blossoming".As a branch of outward-looking learning dictionaries,outward-looking near-synonym learning dictionaries are designed for learners of Chinese as a second language, and they are gradually gaining popularity among learners. As an independent and core type of language dictionaries, learning dictionaries should have their own unique "learning" characteristics that are suitable for second language users in terms of word inclusion, interpretation, examples and presentation of grammatical and pragmatic information. What is the face of Chinese dictionaries for second language learners in China today? Is it suitable and satisfying to the needs of dictionary users? Therefore, this thesis selects four Chinese outward-looking proxemics learning dictionaries published in the past two decades for comparison, adopts a combination of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis, and conducts an in-depth and detailed multi-dimensional comparison based on the theory of learning dictionaries. This thesis is divided into three parts. This thesis is divided into four chapters in addition to the introduction:The first chapter is to make a comprehensive count of the words and phrases included in the four dictionaries.Based on the macro comparison of the differences between the four dictionaries, the first chapter analyzes the hierarchical nature of the collected words and the rationality of the construction of near-sense phrases. The search and screening of phrase construction based on the HSK dynamic composition corpus is also conducted, and suggestions for optimizing the word selection and construction of the co-admitted words are made. The second chapter is focused on the form of interpretation and the content of interpretation,i.e.,whether the interpretation of the four dictionaries is scientific from two aspects: the use of interpretation meta-language and the presentation of discriminative content.Firstly,we compare the simplicity and difficulty of the 224 nearsynonyms included in the four dictionaries from a macroscopic perspective;secondly,we compare the discriminative content of the identical near-synonyms included in the four dictionaries from a microscopic perspective. The third chapter is a comparative analysis of the 224 examples of near-sense words included in the four dictionaries in terms of their inclusion and the ease of the examples. The number and type of examples are compared in terms of the number and type of examples included in the four dictionaries, and the difficulty of the examples is compared in terms of the length of the examples and the difficulty of the terms used in the examples. The fourth chapter reflects on the comparison results of the four dictionaries, identifies the existing shortcomings of the outward-looking proxemics learning dictionaries, and tries to propose suggestions for optimizing the dictionaries in terms of inclusion, interpretation and examples,so as to make them better serve learners. In the concluding section,we have reviewed the work done in this paper, summarized the advantages and shortcomings of the four dictionaries in the comparison process, and pointed out the shortcomings of this study and the directions for future efforts, taking into account the principles and bases for the compilation of the outward-looking learning dictionary and the confusing word learning dictionary. |
