With globalization continually evolving and countries becoming increasingly interconnected, tourism has become a crucial industry for promoting cultural exchange and fostering communication between nations. The spectrum of tourism has broadened, and the development and enhancement of tourism routes have become a primary means of propelling the growth of tourism. However, the expansion of Chinese tourism routes is still in its nascent stage, and it is imperative to consistently enhance domestic tourism by leveraging foreign advanced practices, explore the development and construction of domestic tourism routes, and establish a robust network of routes to entice tourists. The material for this translation practice has been selected from the book Tourism Routes and Trails: Theory and Practice. This book,an informative text related to tourism research, focuses on tourism trails and routes. The practice report is based on the translation of Chapters 4 and 5 of this book. This report contains some cases on the basis of understanding the original text and expressing the translated text and applies Eugene Nida’s dynamic equivalence theory to solve various problems that arise during analysis, including incorrect word meanings, structural analysis and style.Through analyzing typical cases and exploring the application of dynamic equivalence theory in the translation process,it is hoped that the report can promote readers’ understanding of tourism routes and enhance translators’ comprehensive understanding of dynamic equivalence theory. |
