China is one of the countries with the fastest economic growth in the world.The Belt and Road initiative proposed by the Chinese government has influenced many countries,and more and more people in Sri Lanka have begun to learn Chinese.With the continuous development of relations between China and Sri Lanka,more and more Sri Lankan students are choosing to learn Chinese.Learning Chinese well is beneficial for enhancing their competitiveness and providing them with more opportunities for future employment.The sentence structure of the "Ba" sentence is not present in the Sinhalese language,the mother tongue of Sri Lankan’s,and the "Ba" sentence is an indispensable and important sentence pattern in the Chinese language system.During the process of learning the "Ba" sentence,Lanka students often make errors and have different problems in sentence construction,which affects their expression of the original meaning of the "Ba" sentence.This paper takes the "Ba" sentence as the key and difficult part in Chinese as a foreign language,and examines the common types of errors made by Sri Lankan students from observation,interview,and language comparison.Then,through comparative analysis,it finds the reasons and difficulties,and accordingly puts forward corresponding teaching suggestions,in order to reduce the problems that Sri Lankan students encounter when they learn the "Ba" sentence.By analyzing the results of the survey questionnaire,we found that the common types of errors among Sri Lankan students are as follows: errors in negative adverbs,errors in modal verbs,errors in subjects,errors in complements,and errors in introductions.Through further analysis of these types of errors,we have identified the main causes of errors.And based on the reasons,this article proposes some suggestions,hoping to identify and fill in gaps in the future teaching of Chinese "Ba" sentences,further improve teaching plans and methods,increase the learning interest of Sri Lankan students,and reduce the occurrence of errors.This paper consists of five parts.The first chapter is the introduction section.Second chapter is a survey of Sri Lankan students’ use of "Ba" sentences and structural Statistics.The third chapter summarizes and summarizes the areas where Sri Lankan students are prone to errors based on the results of questionnaire analysis.The fourth chapter further discusses and analyzes the reasons for the prone errors in the "Ba" sentence.The fifth chapter draws corresponding conclusions based on the previous research and proposes appropriate teaching suggestions.Finally,there is the conclusion.
