Yan Can is an important poetic scholar in the late Southern Song Dynasty,author of Huagu Ji and Shi Ji.Shi Ji not only draws on the strengths of others,collects widely,integrates hundreds of schools,chooses the good and follows,but also pays attention to the interpretation of new meanings of poetry.As an important childish reading in the Southern Song Dynasty,Shi Ji not only inherits the research results of the traditional Book of Songs,but also shows its transcendence over the predecessors.It was praised by many scholars in the Southern Song and Ming and Qing Dynasties.Yan Can also has high academic value and academic status in Book of Songs Study history.Yan Can uses "Li" and "Dao" as the core elements in the interpretation of Book of Songs,whether it is the view of "Poetry is history" or the "Follow the kind nature" poetry view,or "The ancient and modern sentiment views are consistent" eventually led to the elucidation of "Li" and "Dao".That is,Yan advocated that the "Book of Songs" is to establish a connection between heaven and human nature with a common foundation,and the purpose of reading poems is to return to human kindness and benevolence.Therefore,Yan Can annotated poetry emphasized the instructive function of poetry,and believed that poems can be used to regulate the way couples get along,,to respect parents,to educate people,and to change customs.Therefore,the sentiment is "positive".Yan Can used poetry appreciation and criticism methods such as "Chant" and "Annotate poetry with poetry",satirizing the poetry with tone,savoring the beauty of the charm of "three sighs with lingering sound",comprehending the meaning of poetry,and exploring the poet’s emotion.The process of Yan Can’s comment of poetry embodies a strong sense of Confucianism and Neo-Confucianism,as well as a strong sense of poetics and aesthetics.In addition,From historical books,literary classics,botanical works,life experience,etc.,he comprehensively researched the meanings of music,animals,plants,and utensils in the Book of Songs,intricate the old and new theories,and strive to understand poetry correctly.This fusion of the traditional and realistic horizons of poetry reveals his historical consciousness.It provides a new horizon of interpretation for poetic interpretation,and shows us the past of poetry and the foundation of its existence in this new horizon.Yan Can’s "intricate theory of the new and the old" interpretation techniques and practical academic attitude have an important impact on the foundation and development of textual research in the Book of Songs in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Yan Can not only regards the Book of Songs as a Confucian classic to explore the social value of poetry,but also regards it as a work of literature and art to discover its literary charm.As the teaching material of the "Book of Songs" in the Southern Song Dynasty,Shi Ji not only represents Yan Can’s viewpoint,but also represents the general style of social poetry in the Southern Song Dynasty.Yan Can’s poetic viewpoint is the epitome of Southern Song poetry thought.A systematic analysis of Yan Can’s poetic thoughts in Shi Ji from the perspective of poetic essence,aesthetic characteristics,appreciation and criticism will help us to fully grasp the poetic style of Southern Song society.At the same time,as a Poets of Fujian Province in the Southern Song Dynasty,Yan Can’s poetic viewpoints promoted the understanding of the Book of Songs in the western part of Fujian.In-depth research on it will help re-understand its value in Fujian’s local culture and continue to promote the development of Fujian’s characteristic traditional culture.Build and create a local cultural color with diversified characteristics.
