The important content of promoting the modernization of national governance system and governance capacity is to strengthen and innovate social governance.With the deepening of China’s reform and opening up and the developing of economy and society,China has explored a way of social governance modernization that is in line with China’s national conditions,which reflects the demands of the time and conforms to the expectations of the people.Nowadays,instability and uncertainty are on the rise,and new areas,industries and business forms are constantly emerging,which pose new requests and challenges for effective social governance especially grass-roots social governance.Under the background of the in-depth implementation of the People’s Mediation Law,Gold Mediation of Jiangxi Satellite TV has played a positive role in grassroots social governance with its unique TV charm and mediation mode since it was launched in 2011.During the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020,Gold Mediation broadcast a series of psychological counseling programs,which made great contributions to fighting the epidemic and maintaining social stability at the grassroots level.The paper put enhancing the efficiency of Gold Meditation in grassroots social governance as a starting point.By way of literature research,investigation and case analysis,role orientation of Gold Meditation is expounded on the basis of related research at home and abroad.Through SWOT analysis of Gold Meditation in grassroots social governance,functions,problems and causes are analyzed.Finally feasible suggestions are put forward.It is found that in the process of participating in grassroots social governance,there are problems with Gold Meditation in grassroots social governance,such as deficiency in innovation,deficiency in depth and breadth,deficiency in cooperation with other governance bodies and deficiency in application of Internet Plus model.The reasons are mainly the complexity of grassroots social governance,the lack of professional support,the limited guarantee of program funds,and the great changes in the media pattern.Finally,in order to provide beneficial references for TV mediation programs to participate in grassroots social governance,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward from three aspects: attaching importance to brand building of the program,strengthening communication and cooperation with other social governance bodies and innovating paths to participate in grassroots social governance.
