Research On The Choice Of Livelihood Strategies For Landless Farmers

The land expropriation process under the wave of urbanization in China has spawned tens of millions of landless farmers.The dual transformation of living environment and living space makes landless farmers generally face severe livelihood problems.Therefore,how to scientifically plan the livelihood strategies of landless farmers is an issue that the party and the state attach great importance to.However,most of the current academic researches focus on the changes in the livelihood capital of landless farmers,and pay less attention to their livelihood strategies and their choices.Based on this,this paper attempts to answer the following three questions: What are the alternative livelihood strategies for landless farmers? What are its influencing factors? How to realize the scientific choice of livelihood strategies?The research contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Construct an analytical framework for the choice of livelihood strategies of landless farmers.This paper sorts out and summarizes the theories and related concepts such as livelihood capital,livelihood strategies,adaptability,and sustainable livelihood development of landless farmers.comprehensive analysis framework.(2)Research on the choice model of the livelihood strategy of the landless farmers.According to the indicator system of the livelihood strategy of the land-lost farmers,the ANP network structure model of the livelihood strategy choice of the land-lost farmers is constructed.(3)An empirical study on the choice of livelihood strategies for landless farmers.Taking X family in Xi’an as an example,this paper conducts an empirical study,and uses ANP to help the family to analyze the choice of livelihood strategies,and uses the SVM method to select 236 landless peasant households in Xi’an to popularize and apply the model.Research conclusions:(1)The interaction of farmers’ livelihood capital,farmers’ adaptability,the impact of institutional environment,the impact of land loss and other external factors,as well as farmers’ sustainable livelihood and other factors,together constitute the analysis framework for the choice of land-lost farmers’ livelihood strategies.(2)The livelihood strategies that the landless farmers in Xi’an can choose include the following four types: mainly agricultural planting activities;mainly self-employed,while some farmers are engaged in agricultural activities;mainly migrant workers,but the number of people engaged in agricultural planting activities More;mainly to obtain salary income.(3)There are significant differences in the choice of livelihood strategies among households with different capital endowments;the models constructed by ANP and SVM can provide scientific guidance for the choice of livelihood strategies of landless farmers,and the prediction results of SVM are in good agreement with the choices drawn by ANP.The degree of integration reaches 90.3%...
