Research On The Intergenerational Differences And Influencing Factors Of Residents’ Responsibility Concept For The Aged

Population aging is the basic national condition of our country’s population.In face of the severe aging situation,our country will make overall planning and systematic policy to deal with population aging as a major strategic task related to the overall situation in the future.Among them,the first problem is to solve the problem of old age.Understanding the public’s views on pension responsibility is of great significance to scientifically formulate relevant pension policies.This paper adopts the methods of literature research,statistical analysis and questionnaire survey,and uses the data of China General Social Survey in 2010,2012,2013,2015 and 2017 to conduct a comprehensive and detailed analysis and display of the current situation and changing trend of China’s public pension responsibility concept.Considering the unique significance of the founding of New China and the reform and opening up to China’s social history,this study also divided the sample population into three cohorts born before 1949,born in 1949-1977,and born in 1978 and later.Compare the status quo and changing trends.According to the theory of life course,cultural distance theory and social cognition theory,four factors,including individual pension capacity,family pension capacity,social pension capacity and concept modernization degree,were selected to analyze their influence on the public pension responsibility concept,and the intergenerational pension responsibility concept was analyzed.Comparison between queues.The study found that although the traditional concept of children’s responsibility for the elderly is still the mainstream concept in society,the public’s concept of pension responsibility has shown a trend of diversified development,and there are obvious differences between the current situation and changing trend of the concept of pension responsibility between generations,and the concept of children’s responsibility has weakened.The older generation mainly turns to the government and the elderly themselves,the middle generation turns to the government,and the younger generation shares the responsibility of the three.Regression analysis found that the influencing factors are also very different.In short,the older generation and the younger generation are both significantly affected by the level of family pension capacity,and also by the degree of modernization of concepts.The middle generation is significantly affected by various factors.According to the research findings,combined with social reality,suggestions are put forward to pay attention to the awareness of independent old age care,pay attention to policy coordination,and pay attention to the fairness of old age security.
