The pursuit of career development and fulfillment of life value is the desire of everyone,and so are government employees.In China,the innovative practice of government employee production to introduce the personnel reform of local government is not very perfect,and the career development of government employees is not smooth.Individual deficiencies,such as errors in professional values and obvious job burnout,as well as various practical problems,such as management system defects and promotion difficulties,hinder the career development of government employees and hinder the realization of organizational goals.Therefore,it is very important to research the problem of government employees’ career development obstacles and promote their career development.Based on the theory of career development,this thesis adopts quantitative and qualitative analysis methods,specifically through literature analysis,case analysis,questionnaire survey,in-depth interview method,to research the status quo,causes and countermeasures of career development obstacles of government employees.First of all,the relevant research results at home and abroad are systematically sorted out from a theoretical perspective to grasp the progress and shortcomings of the current research.Secondly,this thesis selects the government employees in Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone as the research object,conducts a survey on the career development of government employees,systematically discusses the problem of obstacles to the career development of government employees,and explores the universal obstacles in the career development of government employees in China.It is found that the career development obstacle of government employees is obvious,which is significantly related to the workplace environment,personal career choice and development factors,personal career choice and promotion factors of career development,and the multiple linear regression equation of the influencing factors of career development obstacle is obtained.Thirdly,it explores the causes of the obstacles,and comprehensively analyzes the causes of career development obstacles in combination with the specific factors of government employees themselves and structural factors such as the workplace environment to be improved.Finally,this thesis proposes to give play to the joint role of government employees,government organizations,society and the country,to break through the barriers and promote the coordinated development of government employees and government organizations.
