| Revolution is not only the replacement of social systems, the overthrow of the old regime and the destruction of the old autocratic machinery, but also the transformation of man to himself, man to nature, and man to social relations. The question of the legitimacy of the revolution is an important issue in the study of political philosophy and social philosophy.Different scholars in different periods have different understandings of the legitimacy of the revolution. From the standpoint of historical materialism and the people,Marx highly praised the idea of revolutionary legitimacy, and demonstrated from theory and practice that revolutionary legitimacy is embodied in the inevitability, reality and legitimacy of revolution. It is true that the idea of revolutionary legitimacy is an important part of Marxist theory. The theoretical logic of Marx’s thought of revolutionary legitimacy is to proceed from the essence of human beings,to demonstrate the inevitability of revolution with historical materialism,to reveal the reality of revolution with the theory of surplus value, and to further explain the legitimacy of revolution with the theory of alienated labor. The idea of revolutionary legitimacy lays the theoretical foundation.Taking alienated labor as a breakthrough,Marx reflected on social change and human liberation with material production practices, revealed the brutal exploitation of workers by capitalists, and formed a designation of capitalism’s dehumanization and inhumanity. However, with the normalization of capitalist economic exploitation and political oppression, the proletariat must overthrow the old state machine through revolution and establish a new state power to safeguard its own interests. In the practical logic of Marx’s thought of revolutionary legitimacy,it is mainly reflected in three aspects: creating a proletarian revolutionary party, guiding the proletarian revolutionary movement and summarizing the proletarian revolutionary experience.Marx was first a revolutionist, and then a theoretician. He not only explained the idea of revolutionary legitimacy in theory, but also devoted himself to the creation of a revolutionary party.Since the establishment of the Communist League,he has been a revolutionary. In the practice of proletarian revolution,it has been improved and summarized, and it has pioneered the theory of continuous revolution and the theory of stages of revolutionary development, which provides theoretical guidance for the working class to launch an all-round struggle against the bourgeoisie.Marx’s thought of revolutionary legitimacy has been repeatedly tried and tested by the international communist movement, and has been inherited and developed in the process of combining with the national conditions of various countries. The success of the October Revolution in Russia and the victory of the Chinese proletariat’s revolution, construction and reform prove that revolution is one of the forces driving the development of human society. While combining with the concrete reality of China,Marx’s thought of revolutionary legitimacy gave birth to Mao Zedong’s revolutionary thought,Deng Xiaoping’s thought that "reform is China’s second revolution" and Xi Jinping’s "two great revolutions" theory. It innovatively provides a powerful ideological weapon for China to build a great modern socialist country, provides a theoretical guide for the great struggle in the new era,and reflects important theoretical significance and practical value. |
