Ideological and political work is the lifeline for the Party to carry out various tasks.The Communist Youth League of China serves as the assistant and reserve army of the Party,and "political guidance" is the main responsibility of the Communist Youth League.Therefore,it is necessary to fulfill its political responsibility under the new historical conditions and continue to consolidate and expand the Party’s ruling foundation among the young people.Universities serve as the main battlefield for political guidance,and college students are an important subject of universities.The Communist Youth League should strengthen its political guidance for college students,leading them to firmly listen to the Party’s words and follow its footsteps.This paper systematically analyzes the scientific connotation of "the Communist Youth League’s political guidance to college students",and systematically combs the understanding of the leaders of the CPC of past dynasties on youth issues and the work of the Communist Youth League in different historical stages,so as to lay an ideological and theoretical foundation for the development of this study.Times can vary,and each era has different requirements for youth political guidance.This article combines the requirements of the times and the current situation to propose the goals and content of the Communist Youth League’s political guidance for college students,and summarizes the characteristics of political guidance.On the basis of existing investigation and research reports,summarize the experience of the Communist Youth League in guiding college students’ politics,and analyze the basic current situation of the Communist Youth League in guiding college students’ politics in the new era,and further analyze the reasons behind it from the current situation.
