Research On Shanghai Women Textile Workers During The First Five-Year Plan Perio

After the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the Party and the government paid special attention to the development of cotton textile industry in order to solve the living problems of urban and rural people as soon as possible.Shanghai’s textile industry plays an important role in the country.By analyzing the situation and changes of the group of women textile workers in Shanghai during the "First Five-Year Plan" period,we can not only understand the contribution of women textile workers in Shanghai to the construction of New China,but also see the growth and changes of women textile workers in Shanghai after the establishment of New China,so as to see the general picture of the national textile workers in that period.This paper is mainly based on the archives collected by the Shanghai Municipal Archives,combined with newspapers,periodicals and other materials,and attempts to restore the social life of the women textile workers in Shanghai during this period.The text of this article is divided into four chapters.The first chapter outlines the overall situation of the textile industry and women textile workers in Shanghai during the "First Five-Year Plan" period.The second chapter combs the working environment,labor enthusiasm,labor process,wages and benefits,and labor achievements of Shanghai textile women workers during the "First Five-Year Plan" period,and discusses their contributions to the construction of Shanghai in New China.The third chapter expounds the improvement of the political status of women textile workers in Shanghai during this period from the improvement of their political consciousness and their participation in various national events.The fourth chapter describes the cultural and recreational life of women textile workers in Shanghai during this period from the aspects of cultural learning and recreational life.The fate of women textile workers in Shanghai is closely related to the future of the nation-state.Through their own efforts,women textile workers have fully demonstrated the important role of "women can hold up half the sky".While contributing to the construction of New China,they also improved their political status,social status and family status,and promoted the process of women’s liberation through their own efforts.At the same time,it can also be seen that the changes in various aspects of women textile workers in the early days of the founding of the People’s Republic of China are actually a process of two-way interaction between the working class and the state.Women textile workers in this period created extraordinary in the ordinary,and the spirit they forged is our extremely valuable spiritual wealth,and also provides valuable experience for women textile workers in the new era.
