An Analysis Of Marx’s Concept Of Private Property From The Perspective Of Existentialism

Private property is an issue that Marx focused on in the Economic and Philosophical Manuscript of 1844(hereinafter referred to as the Manuscript).In the process of discussing private property,Marx interspersed a series of reflections on practical social problems.As an important clue in the Manuscript,private property links up specific issues in the capitalist real world,including wages,capital profit,land rent,labor,money,division of labor,etc.Marx’s thinking on alienation and demonstration of communism are all carried out under the general background of the capitalist mode of production characterized by private property.Through the philosophical thinking of private property,Marx gradually produced the bud of historical materialism.Therefore,clarifying the concept of private property is helpful for us to better understand the ideological course of young Marx,deepen the understanding of Marx’s early thoughts,and deepen the grasp of the process of Marx’s creation of "new world view".At the same time,this paper will combine the "perceptual object activity" to analyze Marx’s concept of private property,from the Angle of existentialism to study Marx’s idea of private property.The article is mainly divided into six parts.The introduction mainly discusses the necessity of studying Marx’s concept of private property and the current research status of private property in Marx’s Manuscripts.The first part mainly discusses the theoretical origin of the existence theory and Marx’s existence theory thought.The rest part follows the historical logic of Marx’s study of private property and the thinking path of Marx’s existentialist philosophy.Among them,the second part mainly discusses the "material interest problem" Marx faced for the first time in the period of Rheinische Zeitung,which is the practical reason why Marx began to study private property.It was during this period that Marx realized for the first time the contradiction between state rationality and private interests and the exploitation of the poor by the possessors of private property.The third part is an in-depth analysis of Marx’s theory of private property in the Manuscript.On the one hand,it shows the existential implication of the Manuscript through the discussion of "perceptual object activity".On the other hand,it focuses on the connotation of Marx’s private property is the domination of capital over labor,the origin of private property is alienated labor,the remodeling of human existence by private property,and the concrete content of private property and the real communist movement.In the sense of existentialism,Marx finally realized the epoch-making turn of Marx’s philosophy in the history of philosophy through the discussion of private property in the Manuscript.The fourth part mainly discusses the significance of Marx’s concept of private property to the establishment of historical materialism.Marx reflected the preliminary understanding of productive forces and relations of production in the study of private property and alienated labor,which has the foundation significance for historical materialism.The last part of the paper is the conclusion,which mainly summarizes Marx’s existentialism and the connection between the concept of private property and historical materialism through the analysis of the concept of private property in Manuscript.
