The social integration of the migrant elderly is a new research problem in recent years.In this paper,the theory of "field-habitus" is used as the research perspective,20 residents of the X community in Changsha were observed and interviewed in-depth to gain an insight into the integration process of the elderly in the new city.It is found that there are three types of social integration: active integration,semi-integration and passive integration,and each of them is more or less faced with the dilemma of social integration,these difficulties arise from the conflicts between the new fields and the old customs,which lead to the difficulty of the old people’s social integration,the imbalance of the family fields and the absence of the participating fields,part of the elderly through a series of positive integration strategies to improve their disadvantaged position in the field,these strategies include: the field of self-construction,habit of remodeling to meet the new field;Based on the generative and collective characteristics of fields and habits,giving full play to the role of community and family and individual self-adjustment is an effective means to improve the social integration of the accompanying elderly.
