Research On Mao Zedong’s Ideological And Political Education Thought Of Peasants And Its Contemporary Enlightenment(1956-1966)

The ideological and political education of farmers is the lifeline of doing a good job of farmers,and it is also an important guarantee for the comprehensive promotion of rural revitalization in the new era.The development of the countryside depends on hundreds of millions of peasants;if the peasants want to progress,the key is to do a good job in the ideological and political education of the peasants.Mao Zedong loved peasants all his life,and attached great importance to the ideological and political education of peasants.During the period of building socialism in an all-round way,the first generation of the central leadership collective o f the party with Comrade Mao Zedong as the core formed a rich ideological and political education thought for farmers on the basis of practice through investigation and research,which is a distinctive and important component of Mao Zedong Thought.In part,it has promoted the all-round development of farmers,rural revitalization and socialist construction.Under the new historical conditions,this paper deeply explores the theory and practice of Mao Zedong’s ideological and political education for farmers in this period,and explores its value of the times,which provides a useful reference for cultivating new farmers,assisting rural revitalization,and realizing agricultural and rural modernization.Mao Zedong’s peasant ideological and political educatio n thought has its own specific theoretical origins,namely,the exposition of the peasant problem by the classic Marxist writers,the emphasis on agriculture and the people in the C hinese excellent traditional culture,and the peasant ideological and political education theory before the Eighth National Congress of the Communist Party of China.Mao Zedong attached great importance to the ideological and political education of farmers,mainly because of the practical needs of accelerating the pace of agricultural modernization,promoting the construction of rural cooperatives,and realizing the comprehensive development of farmers themselves.The main contents of Mao Zedong’s peasant ideological and political education thoughts include basic Marxist theory ed ucation,the party’s line,principles,and policies education,socialist education,patriotism and collectivism education,diligence and thrift and hard struggle education,scientific and cultural knowledge education,etc.In order to better implement and convey the content of education to the farmers,Mao Zedong proposed that we should adhere to example and demonstration,and establish advanced models;insist on investigation and research,and link production practice;insist on persuasion and guidance,and advocate convincing people with reason;Popular methods and other methods to carry out ideological and political education for farmers.Mao Zedong’s thought on ideological and political education for farmers has provided important inspiration for the ideological and political education of farmers in the new era.It should focus on cultivating new-type professional farmers,strengthening Marxist education,giving full play to the advantages of example and demonstration,and adhering to the leadership of the party,so as to make farmers’ ideological and political education work.Political education radiates new vigor and vitality.
