Study On Spiritual Comfort And Influencing Of Elderly Living Alone

China is a country with a large population.With the continuous development of the society,the average life expectancy has been improved,and the aging population has been aggravated.The elderly population base in China is large,especially for the elderly,the rate of living alone is high.The elderly living alone weaken the traditional family support function,especially in the spiritual comfort,more prominent.Compared with the hard life in the past,the modern society provides a variety of possibilities for the elderly,and the pension security system is more perfect.Most of the material needs of the elderly are satisfied,but the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly are ignored.Many people still take care of the elderly with the old idea,thinking that as long as the elderly are fed and warm,it is obviously not enough,and the elderly look forward to spiritual comfort.On the one hand,elderly people who live alone hope to get care and comfort from their children,relatives and the society.On the other hand,due to practical reasons,the elderly and their children have to live apart,and it is difficult to provide timely comfort to the elderly due to space distance and life pressure.Although the elderly care work in the community is becoming mature,it still fails to meet the spiritual comfort needs of the elderly.Elderly people living alone for a long time can not get the spiritual comfort of their children,friends and relatives and society,will have adverse effects on physical and mental health,serious,will fall into the vortex of depression and unable to extricate themselves.How to satisfy the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone in the modern and rapidly developing society and let them spend their old age peacefully needs further research.Based on the survey data of CLHLS in 2018,this paper systematically analyzes the current situation of spiritual consolation for elderly people living alone and explores its influencing factors.On this basis,suggestions are put forward.It is found that the individual characteristics have a significant impact on the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone.It can be found that the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone is directly proportional to the level of education;In the aspect of children’s characteristics,it has significant influence on the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone.Among them,the fewer the number of sons,the better the spiritual comfort of elderly people living alone;In terms of social and economic status,it has a significant effect on the spiritual comfort of the elderly living alone.Among them,the elderly living alone in cities and towns,whose main source of income is from their children,have a relatively good mental comfort.
