settlements is an important link in the construction of beautiful villages and the realization of rural revitalization,so the governance of rural human settlements is an important part of the party’s rural work.To improve the living environment in rural areas,it is necessary to take the idea of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization as the guidance,which is rich in connotation and far-reaching,and it is the theoretical follow-up of ecological civilization construction,and also provides methodological guidance for the governance of living environment.In recent years,China has accelerated the governance of rural human settlements.Under the guidance of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization,many relevant policy documents have been issued,and various localities have actively responded to the call to carry out work,which has greatly changed the rural human settlements.At present,there are many studies on the governance of rural human settlements,but there are few studies on the human settlements in ethnic villages and lakeside villages,and the relevant practical experience is not summarized enough.It is of great theoretical and practical value to carry out an empirical study on the governance of rural human settlements with ethnic villages in lakeside area as a case.This paper mainly uses the methods of literature study,inductive analysis,questionnaire survey and interview to investigate and analyze the working conditions,achievements,experiences and shortcomings of the human settlements in Gusheng Village before and after the General Secretary’s visit to Dali,and then makes in-depth analysis on this basis,and then summarizes excellent experiences and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for further improving the rural human settlements.The main contents are as follows:The first part is introduction.It mainly describes the research background,research purpose and significance,research status at home and abroad,research content and methods,and the definition of related concepts.The second part,the basic connotation of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization thought and its important significance to rural ecological construction.The basic connotation of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization thought includes the harmonious coexistence between man and nature,Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets,a good ecological environment is the most universal well-being of people’s livelihood,mountains and rivers,forests,fields,lakes and grasses are the community of life,and the strictest system and the strictest legal system are used to protect the ecological environment.The significance of Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization thought to rural ecological construction is an important theoretical basis for improving farmers’ ecological awareness,a direct action guide for rural revitalization strategy,and a fundamental theoretical basis for rural civilization thought.Combining with the excellent experience in the management of human settlements in Gusheng village,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the shortcomings,providing ideological guarantee for the improvement of human settlements with the scientific world outlook of harmonious coexistence between man and nature as the guide,promoting the change of rural environment with the implementation of the green development concept as the guide,improving the rural environment according to law with the implementation of the strictest legal system as the guarantee,and providing sustainable power for the improvement of rural human settlements with the participation of the whole people as the foundation,so as to apply the Xi Jinping thought on ecological civilization
