The integration of transportation is a fundamental, strategic, and pioneering project for the development of the national economy, and also an important support for serving the new development pattern of the region. In the report of the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, emphasis was placed on accelerating the construction of a strong transportation country and regional coordinated development. The construction of the Huaihai Economic Zone bears the heavy responsibility of driving the growth of low-lying areas in the region. The convenient flow of personnel and rapid flow of materials achieved through transportation integration are extremely important, and are necessary conditions for high-quality coordinated development in the region. Therefore, promoting the integrated development of transportation in the Huaihai Economic Zone in depth is not only an objective demand for coordinated development, but also an important driving force and powerful lever for promoting regional development. The research on transportation integration involves multiple disciplinary fields such as transportation, land, ecology, economy, and society, and its connotation and extension are constantly changing. It is to combine one or more transportation systems, establish a interdependent and interactive relationship, and form an efficient, orderly, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation system on this basis. The transportation integration of the Huaihai Economic Zone aims to achieve a modern comprehensive transportation system that is interconnected, efficient, safe, and convenient through scientific and effective collaborative planning, deployment, and implementation.Huaihai Economic Zone is closely related to the construction of a comprehensive transportation hub city in China.Relying on "big channels, big hubs and big networks",the three-dimensional transportation pattern has initially taken shape. However, compared with the coordinated integration of transportation in the Pearl River Delta,Yangtze River Delta and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei city clusters,Huaihai Economic Zone still has some disadvantages. It is mainly reflected in five aspects:unsmooth administrative division management, uncoordinated urban development planning, unsound traffic coordination mechanism, and asynchronous traffic coordination process. The causes of the above restrictive factors are diversified, mainly involving the central city is not strong, the competitive advantage is not enough;Administrative division restriction, barriers are not eliminated;Unitary industrial structure and unbalanced resource distribution;Insufficient integration of resources, elements of the flow of four aspects of the reasons. Therefore, the integrated development of transportation in Huaihai Economic Zone should focus on the needs and respond to the problems. It should be promoted from the perspectives of comprehensively breaking inter-provincial barriers to gather joint efforts in transportation development, constructing three-dimensional transportation network to improve the level of central cities, reducing freight logistics costs to promote regional element agglomeration, innovative interconnection, sharing and co-governance to strengthen the integration of external and internal flow.So as to realize the optimal allocation of resources, the full flow of information elements and the efficient exchange of personnel logistics. There are 73 references in this thesis.
