| At present,the international economic environment is complex and volatile,and the Chinese economy faces severe tests.Accelerating the formation of a new development pattern and promoting enterprises to "go global" at a high level is the key to achieving high-quality development and an internal requirement for the sustainable development of Chinese enterprises.The government also plays an important role in improving the internationalization level of enterprises.Since the close and clean political-business relationship has been proposed,it is an important guarantee of smooth domestic and international economic circulation to coordinate the relationship between the government and market,which is conducive to promoting the transformation of the government from management mode to service mode,promoting the internationalization of enterprises and forming the new advantage of the international competition of Chinese enterprises.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to explore the influence of close and clean political-business relationship on the enterprises internationalization performance.This thesis first reviews the relevant works and literature of domestic and foreign scholars on the political-business relationship and the enterprises internationalization performance.Based on the rent-seeking theory,the government intervention theory and the new public service theory,this thesis analyzes the influence mechanism of the close and clean political-business relationship on the enterprises internationalization performance.Secondly,this thesis constructs the index system of close and clean political-business relationship,and analyzes the current situation of the political-business relationship,technological innovation and internationalization of enterprises.Then,based on the panel data of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2009 to 2021 and the close and clean political-business relationship data of 31 provinces,this thesis empirically tests the positive impact of close and clean political-business relationship on enterprise internationalization performance by using the fixed-effect model,and uses the moderating effect method to test the robustness of benchmark regression.Finally,the intermediary effect model is used to explore the mediating role of technological innovation,and enterprise samples are classified into eastern and western regions,state-owned and non-state-owned,to explore the heterogeneity of the influence of close and clean political-business relationship on enterprise internationalization performance.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: first,the improvement of close and clean political-business relationship is helpful to improve enterprises internationalization performance;Secondly,the intermediary effect test shows that technological innovation plays an important intermediary role in the process of improving the Chinese enterprises internationalization performance through close and clean political-business relationship.Thirdly,in the heterogeneity analysis based on the property rights of enterprises,compared with state-owned enterprises,the close political-business relationship has a more significant impact on the internationalization performance of non-state-owned enterprises,while the economic spillover effect of state-owned enterprises is not obvious.Fourthly,based on the heterogeneity analysis of enterprise regions,the clean political-business relationship has a more significant impact on the internationalization performance of enterprises in the Midwest,and the impact on the technological innovation level of enterprises in the Midwest is more significant than that of enterprises in the east.Based on this,in the process of actively promoting the internationalization of Chinese enterprises,both government and enterprise should make joint efforts to establish a friendly relationship between government and business.On the one hand,the government needs to better play its role in the service economy while being clean and self-disciplined,on the other hand,enterprises should constantly improve the ability of independent innovation to help the promotion of internationalization performance and enhance international competitiveness. |
