Online Populism Raises Mainstream Ideological Security Risks And Governance

Ideological security is an important part of national security,related to the party’s ruling security and the country’s political stability,no one is unnetworked,people’s ideological views are accustomed to the use of the Internet to express,the Internet has become the main battlefield of ideological struggle.Populist ideas in society are often expressed through online channels,fermented in cyberspace to attract attention,and form online populism.Internet populism often involves public-private conflicts and social fairness issues,and in the contest between civilians and elites,it is easy to tear social consensus,trigger the consequences of a crisis of trust caused by the boycott of the current system,and easily affect the security of mainstream ideology.This thesis is divided into three parts,the first part of which explores the means and harmful manifestations of online populism to cause security risks in mainstream ideology.Internet populism is manifested in the use of the Internet to wantonly appeal to the value demands of ordinary people,the use of group polarization in cyberspace to impact mainstream ideological theoretical cognition,the creation of binary opposition narrative issues to weaken the consensus of mainstream ideological values,the erosion of the foundation of mainstream ideology with the help of pluralistic social trends,the rendering of collective negative emotions to weaken the emotional identity of mainstream ideology,and the coupling of non-mainstream ideologies to weaken the leading force of mainstream ideology.The pan-popularization,pan-fairness,pan-moralization,pan-entertainment and pan-politicization tendencies caused by it pose great risks to the security of mainstream ideology.The second part analyzes the factors and dependencies of online populism to trigger the security risks of mainstream ideology.Based on the support of a large number of facts and cases,this paper conducts in-depth research on the structural resentment caused by unbalanced and insufficient economic development,the contradiction of political participation caused by imperfect democratic politics,irrational mobilization induced by the tendency of social atomization,the unipolarization trend of network culture catalyzing populism,the strong penetration of foreign populism through the Internet,the obscuration of mainstream ideology by digital intelligence technology,and the potential populist bias of online social media are the key generating factors of online populism causing security risks to mainstream ideology.Internet empowerment brings about the "explosion" of political participation and the "post-truth" era to promote the spread of anti-intellectualism,virtual space promotes the group psychology of the law does not blame the public,egalitarian cultural traditions give birth to populist soil,online "information cocoons" block information exchange,and online opinion leaders’ strong ability to create public opinion are the basic conditions on which online populism causes mainstream ideological security risks.The third part summarizes the coping strategies and governance paths of online populism to trigger the security risks of mainstream ideology.It is believed that strengthening the party’s leadership over ideological work in cyberspace,giving play to the support of interest orientation to mainstream ideology,increasing the attractiveness of online political participation,enhancing the ideological guidance of online opinion leaders,enhancing the emergency handling ability of network ideological emergencies,enhancing the interpretation of mainstream network ideology,and improving the integration of mainstream ideological values on the Internet are effective strategies to prevent the security risks of mainstream ideology caused by online populism in the era of digital intelligence.Innovative forms of democratic participation in the Internet by the masses,improving the early warning mechanism for online ideological risks,forming an online ideological risk prevention and control team,cultivating positive online opinion leaders,strengthening the construction of the rule of law in cyberspace,improving the way of online ideological dissemination,and strengthening the ideological security education of netizens are reliable ways to manage the mainstream ideological security risks caused by online populism.
