Case Study On The Inheritance Of Campus Culture In New And Old Campus Of University

The campus culture of a university is the sum of material and spiritual wealth accumulated by the university in the course of long-term education and teaching,scientific research,and social services.It has a rich connotation and a broad extension.The new campus is the product of the continuous development of higher education.It has expanded the space for educational development,enhanced the comprehensive competitiveness of universities,and laid a certain foundation for the long-term development of higher education.However,there have been new problems and challenges that have followed.One aspect that cannot be ignored is how to effectively inherit the campus culture of the old and new campuses.This article adopts case analysis,literature method,questionnaire survey method,interview method and other research methods.It is supported by the theory of cultural stratification and cultural identity,and it supports three different types of new campuses(relocation-type new campus,alternative-type new campus).And extended new campuses)Conduct on-site inspections,analyze the status quo and existing problems of the cultural heritage of the old and new campuses,summarize the good experiences and practices of the cultural heritage of the old and new campuses,and propose countermeasures to promote the cultural heritage of the old and new campuses.The study found that different types of new campuses have made some positive explorations on the inheritance of campus spiritual culture,material culture,institutional culture,and behavior culture according to their own actual conditions and campus characteristics.They have accumulated some experience,but they also have the role of the main body of inheritance.Insufficient teacherstudent participation;insufficient heritage and architectural features are not clear;heritage is not rich in content and school history is not well understood;the inheritance method is relatively single and the innovation needs to be improved.Combining the existing experiences and practices of each school in the inheritance of campus culture,the author puts forward suggestions to promote the inheritance of campus culture in the old and new campuses of the university: First,we must follow the basic principles of cultural inheritance in the old and new campuses of the university,that is,the principle of identity and selection.Principles,innovative principles,and systematic principles;the second is to improve the cultural heritage mechanism of the old and new campuses of the university,that is,strong leadership mechanisms,extensive participation mechanisms,flexible coordination mechanisms,and comprehensive guarantee mechanisms;The pattern of inheritance of campus culture in the old campus,that is,the "collectiondesign-internalization" inheritance model of campus culture;the fourth is to clarify the strategy of inheritance of campus culture in the new and old campuses of the university,that is,to strengthen the construction of characteristic buildings,human landscape in the new campus,and make use of teachers The main role in the inheritance of campus culture,fully tapping the resources of school history,and improving the level of campus cultural activities.
