Research purposes:Middle-aged and elderly people will experience decline in motor function, delayed sensation, and weakened eyesight as they grow older, thus becoming a high incidence of falls. This research aims to improve the balance ability of middle-aged and elderly people through water Tai Chi exercises, thereby preventing falls and improving the quality of life of middle-aged and elderly people.Research method:This research adopts literature method, experimental method and mathematical statistics method.Participants were recruited from Xi Sanqi community in Haidian District and An Huili community in Chao Yang District, and 24 cases that met the experimental criteria were screened out. Then the subjects were randomly divided into two groups. The experimental group used water Tai chi practice, and the control group used land practice Tai chi. Both groups performed eight-week Tai chi practice under the guidance of professionals,4 times/Week,60min/time.The Pro-Kin balance test system,a large-scale professional equipment in modern sports medicine,is used to conduct a static balance test of both feet and one foot. Its function is used for proprioception evaluation, and corresponding exercise control ability training is carried out for the reasons of lack of balance ability. Before and after the observation experiment, the two groups were in the motion length(the range of the center of gravity movement),the area of the motion ellipse(the range of the center of gravity movement),the average motion speed in the front and rear directions(the swing degree of the center of gravity on the Y axis),and the average motion speed in the left and right directions(the center of gravity). The degree of swing on the X axis)changes in the index. It also analyzes the results of the stability limit test and the Y balance test, which are used to prevent and evaluate the risk of falling for middle-aged and elderly people and the direction of possible fall. After the experiment, the data obtained was analyzed statistically.Research results:1.The results of the biped static balance ability index show that the experimental group has a significant decrease in the value of each index after 8 weeks of training,so there is a very significant difference before and after the experiment(p<0.01).The comparison within the control group found that the average moving speed in the back direction and the area of the moving ellipse had significant differences(p<0.05).However,the experimental group and the control group had different ranges before and after the experiment. The analysis found that there was no significant difference in the comparison of the indicators between the groups(p>0.05).2.The results of the left foot static balance ability index show that the comparison between the experimental groups found that there are significant differences in the area of the ellipse(p<0.05),and the average speed of the X-axis and the Y-axis and the value of the exercise length have significantly decreased. After comparison,it was found that the three indicators had very significant differences(p<0.01).The control group only had a significant difference in the average movement speed index in the left and right directions(p<0.05),and no significant difference in other indexes(p>0.05);comparison between the groups found that the average movement speed in the front and back directions of the two groups was significant Difference(p<0.05),other indicators are not significantly different(p>0.05).3.The results of the right foot static balance ability index showed that the comparison between the experimental groups found that there was a significant difference in the area of the exercise ellipse(p<0.05),and the average speed of the X-axis and the Y-axis and the value of the exercise length index dropped significantly. After the experiment The comparison found that the three indicators have very significant differences(p<0.01).The comparison within the control group found that there is a very significant difference in the average movement speed index of the right foot in the front and back direction(p<0.01),and there is a significant difference in the area of the movement ellipse(p<0.05);but the various indexes between the experimental group and the control group There is no significant difference in the comparison(p>0.05).4.The results of the dynamic balance ability test show that the data of the experimental group after the experiment has a very significant difference compared with the data before the experiment(p<0.01),and the comparison of the data before and after the experiment in the control group has a significant difference(p<0.05).The experimental group and the control experiment have significant differences in the data after the experiment(p<0.05).5.In the fall prevention Y balance test, the comparison between the two groups before and after the experiment found that there is a very significant difference in the comprehensive value of the left lower limb and the comprehensive value of the right lower limb(p<0.01),but the comparison between the experimental group and the control group It was found that the comprehensive value of the left lower limb was significantly different from that before the experiment(p<0.05),while the comprehensive value of the right lower limb was not significantly different before and after the experiment(p>0.05).Research conclusions:The 8-week water Tai Chi exercise has an impact on the vision, proprioception, vestibular sensation and muscle strength of the middle-aged and elderly people, improves the static and dynamic balance of the middle-aged and elderly people, and has positive significance in preventing the middle-aged and elderly people from falling.
