Abstract/Summary:
Literacy and writing are important parts of language teaching and are the foundation of language learning.To enhance students’ love for language and their understanding of Chinese culture,it is vital to Teaching literacy and writing.It is not only the focus of teaching at the primary level,but also the junior high schools’.For Mongolian junior high schools,language literacy and writing instruction is significant guarantee for students to learn other subjects.There are some problems and confusions,however,exist in the "teaching" of teachers and "learning" of students in Mongolian junior high schools.Teachers are lack of practices,formulaic approaches and low achievement of literacy and writing goals;students have problems with insufficient literacy,misleading writing,and lack of good literacy and writing habits.To improve this situation,we need to improve literacy and writing teaching methods and forms,establish classroom goals,improve assessment methods,increase students’ interest in literacy and writing learning,and strengthen teachers’ professionalism training.This paper mainly investigates the Mongolian middle school language teachers and students,collects and organizes a large amount of materials through practical observation,questionnaire survey and interviews.The problems and causes of Mongolian junior high school language teachers and students are studied.Thw result is based on the analysis of the survey data and related materials.Corresponding countermeasures for improvement are also proposed.This paper consists of three parts: the introduction,the body,and the conclusion.The introductory part includes the origin of the study,literature review,purpose and significance of the study,research ideas and methods;the first chapter is a survey and analysis of literacy and writing teaching in Mongolian junior high school language;the second chapter is an analysis of the problems and causes ofit in Mongolian junior high school language;the third chapter mainly combines theoretical knowledge and practical experience,and puts forward improvement measures for the problems in literacy and writing teaching in Mongolian junior high school language.The concluding section provides a summary description of this study.
