| Life safety is a necessary condition for individuals to realize their personal and social values.The rapid development of times makes the growing environment of students more and more complex,and students’ physical and mental safety is facing unprecedented threats.Statistics show that the frequency of security accidents among the minors in rural areas is much higher than in urban areas.Compared with urban areas,the growth of students in rural areas is more dependent on school education,so rural schools are more responsible for the cultivation of students’ safety competence.Based on the investigation of the current situation of life safety education in a rural school,this thesis analyzes the problems and causes of its life safety education,and provides some measures for improving the current situation.This thesis takes Junior high school S,a rural junior high school in a county in western Shandong Province,as the research object.Tt investigates the implementation status of this school through questionnaire and interview,including the status of life safety education in school、the content of life safety education、the implementation approach of life safety education、the evaluation of life safety education and the teachers of life safety education.From the survey results,some problems are found: Firstly,the status of life safety education in school is marginalized,which is manifested as the facts that its importance is underestimated by teachers and it is often arranged in the scattered time;Secondly,the content of life safety education is not perfect,which is manifested in the lack of depth,comprehensiveness,professionalism and pertinence;Thirdly,the implementation of life safety education is not smooth,which is manifested in the facts that the penetration of subjects is not deep,the educational activities are monotonous and boring,and the cooperative teaching between school and society has not become a normal phenomenon;Fourthly,the evaluation system of life safety education is not perfect,which is manifested as the unscientific evaluation criteria,and the fact that the evaluation results can’t get effective feedback;Fifthly,the teachers of life safety education lack enough professionalism.This thesis analyzes the causes of the above problems from three aspects.On the ideological level,the deviation of ideas makes life safety education lose the motivation.To be specific,in the influence of exam-oriented education,teachers form the utilitarian educational values.And some teachers’ ideological understanding is not in place,whose life safety education consciousness is weak.Besides,the thinking of the authority is relaxed,so it isn’t strict to the life safety education of schools.On the institutional level,the absence of institutional system makes life safety education lose guidance and constraints,including the absence of curriculum system of life safety education,the absence of teaching research system of life safety education,the absence of schoolsociety cooperation system and the absence of teachers’ learning and training system.On the material level,the lack of material resources restricts the development of life safety education,which is manifested in the insufficient resources of life safety education and the shortage of life safety education funds.Combined with the reasons behind it,the following measures are put forward to solve the above problems.First is to improve the status of life safety education in schools by reexamining the value of life safety education and arranging the time of it reasonably.Second is to improve the content of life safety education,and the specific approach is to enhance the depth,comprehensiveness,professionalism and pertinence of the content.Third is to optimize the implementation of life safety education,and the specific approach is to infiltrate the content of life safety education actively,to improve the diversity of life safety education activities,and to build a regular cooperative relationship between schools and relevant social departments.Fourth is to improve the evaluation system of life safety education,and the specific approach is to formulate scientific evaluation standards for life safety education and to establish an effective evaluation result feedback mechanism.The last one is to improve the professionalism of the teachers by adding life safety education courses in the training stage of normal university students and adding relevant trainings into the continuing education system of teachers. |
